Squadron 42 Manchester playtest

Checked 2026-10-17

The playtest already happened. It was not a public beta, and it did not publish a release day.

Source review: the official recap establishes the approximate headcount and play time; the community wiki supplies the 9–11 October event span, recording rules, and attendee details. The August invitation named 9 and 10 October. The extra day is secondary chronology, not a date added by the weekly. This site did not attend.

What else was in the room

The wiki playtest page, citing the weekly and attendee posts, says Mark Hamill attended, a Mangostone Hornet model was on display, and people received a Geoff Zanelli soundtrack tape. It also says this session stood in for a CitizenCon that did not happen in 2026.

The letter had promised a specific date shortly after the session. The weekly does not contain one. It also said photos would follow; that is not evidence that no later photos exist.
